How long have you been shooting weddings?

 

I shot my first wedding for friends in 1993 and loved it, weddings are fun and semi-organized parties - lots of opportunities to catch positive and ecstatic emotions! I trained and researched for 10 years and finally started an official business in 2003 when I was comfortable charging people and responsible enough for their important day. ​

Do you have backup equipment?

I am a big proponent about backup equipment and stress it strongly in classes that I teach to beginner photographers. I have backups for every single piece of equipment I use. Heard many stories across the internet of worst case scenarios and would rather not be in that situation! Very rare but I have had to use those backups - saved me and the client.

Have you done many that were similar to mine in size and style?

 

Yes. Most likely. I've done small to large, courthouse to major venues since 2003.

How will you be dressed?

​

I typically dress business casual unless you specify otherwise. I want to look like just someone that was invited to the wedding - somewhere in between Hawaiian shirt and tux.

How would you describe your style?

 

My style captures candid moments throughout the day interrupted by gently posed shots when I see an opportunity. Of course we'll do formal shots of all groups and family, groomsmen, bridesmaids, bride's family, etc. I will use natural light mostly​ but will get some epic shots with strobes along with supplemental lighting during the darker dance portion. You'll receive fully edited photos, some black and white, some classic, some edgy - depends on the photo itself. My level of experience lends to a dynamic range for your selection.
